The Bands for 2017:
To Be Determined
Proceeds go to the Music Departments of Portage Schools

Music Fest 2014 (Rock & Rail) appeared to have one of the largest crowds in years on hand and was off to a good start when Mother Nature intervened and rain forced an early end to the evening.
The Red Hot Horn Dawgs kicked off Music Fest 2014 with another great performance. The energetic band which features a 5-man horn section had many in the crowd on their feet dancing to sounds ranging from classic rock to country music.
Immediately after the Horn Dawgs, local talent took over as the Portage High School band entertained the audience. Kim Hughes, Kiara Hughes and Mikayla Shea followed with terrific solo singing performances.
As the sun set it became evident that inclement weather was on the horizon as pocket Dopplers popped up throughout the crowd. Unfortunately, the rain arrived as feared and forced a premature end to Music Fest 2014 after just one song by Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo, much to the dismay of an audience ready to rock.
Still, the event was a successful fundraiser with proceeds benefitting the music departments of Portage schools. GPYEF would like to thank all the sponsors, donors and volunteers for their support of Music Fest. Special thanks to Jimmy K for emceeing the event, and to The Red Hot Horn Dawgs and Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo. And, of course, thank you to all those who attended.
