GPYEF is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities and creating a path to a brighter future for students in the Portage community

Grants & Scholarships

The Greater Portage Youth Education Foundation was founded in 1995 with our initial fundraising campaign having successfully raised over $900,000 toward the funding of the auditorium, gymnasium and technology center for the new Portage High School. Since then, the Foundation has awarded nearly $200,000 in grants for student projects and events in the Portage area and scholarships for graduating seniors. Benefactors have included Project Graduation, Warrior Fund, Future Business Leaders of America and the Rusch Back Pack Program.

Music Festival / Alumni Concert

We held our first Music Festival at the beautiful Pauquette Park on August 17, 2024. It was just awesome to see the support of our current students, alumni performers, and our generous community. Thank you for your tremendous support making this an evening to remember.

Because of the Portage community’s generosity, the Greater Portage Youth Education Foundation has accomplished a great deal in a short time. But so much more can still be achieved!
